About

Victoria is a UK based award-winning coloured pencil artist. She is an Associate Member of the Society of Equestrian Artists, a Silver Signature Member of the UK Coloured Pencil Society and was awarded Master Status with the CPCAU, and has also exhibited with the Association of Animal Artists and the Wildlife Art Society International (TWASI).

"I've always loved drawing and animals, especially horses, and the two naturally combined from a very early age. My work is detailed and realistic but I don't strive to produce photo-real artwork, it's more about capturing the inner feel and emotion that each animal evokes and that usually results in something that is an accurate representation of my subject. I enjoy getting lost the details; the little flick of hair, the way the muscles ripple and flex, the nuances of colour as the light flows across the subjects body - these subtleties help me bring what I see to the viewer's eye and communicate what I am feeling. I love the process of drawing too, the physical act of making marks on the paper and seeing my subject come to life before my eyes will always be a thrill and keep me creating."
